Open map

The distance from the start of the Vienan reitti at Hepola-Pehkolantie 1, to Jumalanhyväaho is approximately 13 kilometres. The lean-to shelter can also be easily reached directly from Malahviantie, making it a convenient destination for a day trip. The lean-to shelter has a campfire site, a toilet, and a log shed. The place got its beautiful name back then from a slash-and-burn field located on the heathland. You can try your luck at fishing in the nearby Ahvenlampi lake pond by rod fishing or lure fishing. As for the history of the place, it is known that a fugitive's hideout was once located in the area. Tragic events from the recent wars are linked to the history of the nearby Tuppuri house. In the deserted yard of the house, you can find a memorial to a partisan raid (1943) and battle positions from the Winter War.
